ZUGFeRD XML to a readable PDF.
Drop a ZUGFeRD or Factur-X PDF, or a raw CII / UBL XML. The invoice is rebuilt into a clean, structured layout that you can export as a PDF with one click. It all happens in your browser, with nothing uploaded.

What is ZUGFeRD / Factur-X?
ZUGFeRD is a hybrid electronic invoice format. Each file is a normal PDF/A-3 document that you can open and read like any PDF, with the same invoice expressed as structured XML embedded inside it. That means one file serves both people and software: a human sees the printed page, while an accounting system reads the exact amounts, tax rates, and payment details from the XML.
The structured data follows the European norm EN 16931, the same standard behind XRechnung. Factur-X is the French name for the identical format, so a Factur-X file and a ZUGFeRD 2.x file are technically the same thing. This tool reads the embedded XML and rebuilds a clean invoice you can export.
Why convert ZUGFeRD XML to a readable PDF
Sometimes you only have the raw XML, with no PDF page to look at. Other times the visual page inside a ZUGFeRD PDF was generated by the sender and is hard to read, inconsistent, or does not clearly show the structured values. Rebuilding the invoice from the XML gives you a consistent, tidy layout every time, which is easier to review, share, or archive as a clean PDF.
How it works
Drop your ZUGFeRD file
Drag in a ZUGFeRD or Factur-X PDF, or a raw CII / UBL XML. Your browser reads it on the spot, with nothing sent anywhere.
Check the invoice
The embedded data is turned into a clean, structured invoice: parties, line items, VAT breakdown, totals, and payment details.
Export as PDF
Click Export as PDF. Your browser print dialog opens, styled so only the invoice prints. Choose Save as PDF to keep a clean copy.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?+
Yes. This tool is completely free, with no account, no watermark, and no limits on how many invoices you convert.
Is my data safe and does it stay local?+
Yes. Everything runs in your browser. The PDF or XML is read on your device, the invoice is rendered on your device, and the export uses your browser print-to-PDF. No file is ever uploaded or stored.
Which ZUGFeRD versions are supported?+
ZUGFeRD 1.x and 2.x, along with Factur-X, which is the technically identical French format. Raw CII and UBL XML files are also supported. The tool detects the profile automatically.
Does it work outside Germany?+
Yes. ZUGFeRD and Factur-X are based on the European norm EN 16931, so the data model is recognised across the EU. You can read and export these invoices anywhere.
How is this different from just opening the PDF?+
A ZUGFeRD PDF already shows a visual page, but its layout depends on the sender. This tool reads the structured XML inside and renders a consistent, clean invoice, which is useful when the embedded data and the printed page differ, or when you only have the raw XML.
