Recento Battery
Notification banners disappear after four seconds. If you missed it, you missed it, and your Mac dies mid-sentence.
Recento Battery puts a reminder on screen and leaves it there until you plug in or dismiss it. It works even if you never granted notification permission, because it does not use notifications.
Recento Dial
Press your shortcut anywhere. The dial opens under your cursor. Flick toward what you want and let go.
Other launchers open apps. This one opens entire workspaces, every app, tab and folder from a saved session, and your file shelves, in one flick. Or leave it parked on screen as a small, see-through icon until you need it.
Recento Snap
Capture, then drop it on a gradient with a soft shadow. Annotate it. Blur the parts nobody should see, automatically, using on-device text recognition.
Scrolling capture handles full pages. Recording handles the rest.
Recento Workspaces
Every other workspace restorer reopens the lot. If half your tabs are already open, you end up with two of each and close them by hand.
Recento Workspaces reads what is actually open first and opens only what is missing, comparing on a normalised URL, so a page that differs by www., a trailing slash or a tracking parameter still counts as already there. Each browser window comes back as its own window, in the right Dia or Chrome profile. When it cannot read a browser it says so and asks for access rather than reopening blind.
Recento Guard
Leaving your MacBook on a cafe table while you order is a small act of faith.
Arm Recento Guard and walk away. If someone lifts it, opens the lid, touches the keyboard or unplugs the charger, it counts down a few seconds for you to disarm it, then sounds a siren, takes photos and a short video of whoever is there, and sends them to your iPhone. It uses your MacBook's own motion and lid sensors. It is free.
Honest limit: it cannot stop someone holding down the power button.

Yes. The licence covers your personal Macs.
Accessibility lets Recento see which app is frontmost, which is what time tracking, focus blocking, restoring workspaces and the menu bar rely on. Screen Recording is what macOS requires of any app that captures the screen, so Snap needs it. Camera is only for Recento Guard's photo and video evidence, and only if you switch that on. None is used for anything else, and all are optional. The rest of the app works without them.
It is native Swift, not Electron. It is a menu bar app that idles most of the time, and every app can be switched off in the launcher.
Macs with a lid angle sensor: MacBook Air M2 and later, and most 14 inch and 16 inch MacBook Pro. Not the M1 MacBook Air or the 13 inch MacBook Pro.
Apple's built-in limit stops at 80% and does nothing else. Recento Battery adds Sailing Mode, Heat Protection, guided calibration, scheduling, per-app power impact and the persistent charge reminder. On the newest macOS builds Apple's firmware handles the limit itself, and Recento defers to it rather than fighting it.
No. Recento checks for updates and downloads them in the background, then asks you to restart when one is ready.
No, and this is the part people expect to be true and it is not. Every enabled app starts working the moment Recento does: Track records, Battery holds your charge limit, Drop watches for the shake gesture, all with nothing on screen. Opening a window only shows you what it has been doing. If you want certain pages up when you sit down, pick them in Settings.
